Responsible for the coordination of all new and existing franchisee candidates by managing each through the CRM and supporting the appropriate Director or Manager in the field throughout the process. Owns process through securing fully completed Franchisee Applications, including required documentation; coordinate with Treasury to receive financial approval. Ability to interact and communicate with existing franchisees and external franchise candidates. Complete Term Sheets, navigate BDC approvals and provide to Franchise Services for all new development agreements.
Moves candidates through the franchising process utilizing the CRM to ensure stages are being completed, bottlenecks are identified and contributes to continual improvement and streamlining of the process. Support the team as it relates to franchise development activity to complement the Franchise Directors and Managers in delivering their plan of new franchisee recruitment and development commitments.
Inspire Brands Franchisee Targets: Fully understand and consistently apply models, requirements, qualifications, metrics and benchmarks when sourcing and qualifying potential new franchisees and existing franchisee candidates. Ensure timely and efficient management of the advancement of candidates through the franchisee approval process
Development/Agreement Process: Fully understand and expertly navigate Inspire Brands' Development process to include expert knowledge of the FDD, all related document requirements, key stakeholders, processes, and timeline targets. Ensure timely and efficient management of the process
Deal Making: Create opportunities and navigate deals from sourcing and qualification to close. Conduct a thorough qualification of all prospective franchisee candidates, coordinating internal resources as needed. Ensure deals move through the process effectively and efficiently - ensure all appropriate details and requirements are met
Territory Management: Develop and execute a territory management strategy/business plan that defines opportunities (potentials), sourcing and recruitment strategy, segmentation/targets, and forecasts.
Collaboration: Work across all teams (Development, Operations, Finance, Legal, etc.) to ensure alignment and support. Proactively engage stakeholders with updates, challenges and opportunities
Franchise Development Team Collaboration: Work closely with all departments involved in the process (legal, finance, real estate, analytics, construction, etc.) to ensure alignment and support. Proactively engage Team with updates, issues, and opportunities
Administration: Ensure timeliness and accuracy of all administration requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Required Minimum: BS Degree in Business Admin or related discipline
Three (3) years+ franchise development or sales environment
Preferred: 5+ years' experience in franchise industry (restaurant segment in franchise sales)
Preferred: Multi-brand experience with legacy and growth concepts
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES
Strong working knowledge of hardware and software requirements of CRM databases. Good business analytical skills including statistical, financial, and spatial
Ability to effectively negotiate with sophisticated organizations and high net-worth individuals
Understanding of the financial and contractual components of franchise agreements and deal structures
Ability to think creatively and develop a continuous stream of ideas to generate franchise sales leads, sales cycle efficiencies, and make recommendations for process changes
Knowledge of FDDs, legal aspects of franchising, contract content and construction and industry standards
Ability to interface and maintain excellent professional relationships with a variety of constituents that are material to the franchise development process.
High degree of written/verbal communications skills to interface with potential franchisees and senior level personnel
Ability to successfully work on teams with diverse individual skill levels and field-based team members
Ability to multi-task by executing numerous projects with timely follow-through
Strong oral and written skills to include formal presentation experience and the ability to prepare and present sales presentations
Advanced knowledge of MS PowerPoint, solid MS skills in other (Word, Excel)
