RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Los Angeles, CA that is seeking a Financial Analyst for their IS Team.

Summary:
As a mid-level Financial Analyst, you'll develop new reports, track KPIs, conduct financial and budget analyses, and manage Excel tasks. Expertise in GAAP, ERP systems like Infor Lawson, and vendor contract terms will be invaluable. The Financial Analyst will collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure seamless financial processes from start to finish.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required


• 5 years of accounting (specifically fund accounting) and financial analysis experience in a hospital or similar environment (Information Technology knowledge a plus)


• Experience as a mid-level financial/budget analyst


• Experience developing new financial reports and tracking and reporting on KPI's


• Financial Analysis (be able to analyze and explain financial data)


• Budget/Variance Analysis (be able to research and explain budget variances)


• Excel (v-look ups, pivot tables, sum-ifs); experience creating and working with large linked excel files


• Understanding of GAAP, the General Ledger, and the Chart of Accounts with a deep understanding of amortization and pre-paids accounting entries


• Experience creating, building and maintaining financial models


• Experience working with a major financial ERP (i.e. Infor Lawson)


• Experience reading, understanding and applying the financial terms of vendor contracts, i.e, payment milestones, invoice terms, etc.


• Be able to validate invoices against executed contract terms


• Experience working with Finance, Accounts Payable, Purchasing and external vendors and working with them to shepherd invoices and PO's through to final payment/execution


• Be comfortable being responsible for seeing these items (and other financial processes) through to completion

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
