The Senior Technologist - Business Analyst role will be focused on working across our client institution(s) to support constituents in effectively leveraging their ERP and other related business systems to better suit their departmental and institutional goals. This role will facilitate effective operations and provide subject manner expertise to further enhance business processes.
The Business Analyst - Senior Technologist role will work collaboratively on a daily basis with each assigned administrative, student services, and/or academic departments to streamline operations and leverage technology?for and high-quality constituent?experiences. For example, they may work with a Registrar to change the online and technical processes needed to for a student to change their major or change the way grades are processed. They may also work with the admissions office on refining transfer credit evaluation processes. This position, while functional, is also technical; technical knowledge to execute on proposed changes &/or coordinate additional technical needs to achieve business goals is required. This role is often found consulting with cross-campus teams in improving business processes with institutional impacts.

Lead and conduct analyses of business processes and functions within the student experience life cycle as they relate to the development, modification and enhancement of applications within the ERP and associated systems.
Gather and write business/technical requirements for system development/configuration changes.
Troubleshoot and analyze applications on a daily basis to recover, adjust, modify and improve application systems to ensure stable and consistent production in servicing students.
Test and implement student system and application program specifications.
Research best practices and propose best solutions to the student services user community.
Research, analyze and test software updates to determine impact with existing functional business processes.
Lead the creation and implementation of configurations and queries to meet internal and external reporting needs that are required of departmental staff
Train student services and other staff on improved business processes and updates on the use of the ERP system and other relative associated systems
Provide consultation on the ERP Workflow's and other ERP System tools while defining solutions for the improved automation of business processes.
Communicate and work closely with the rest of the Technology Services team to ensure that any business process changes are fully understood and supported with the interest of providing improved services to students and creating greater operational efficiency.
Years of Experience: 3-5 years' experience as a Business Analyst supporting higher education.

Ability to align across areas and facilitate groups that may not commonly come together and work collaboratively

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate new ideas clearly, understand technology changes required, and grasp the organizational impact changes they will have.
Demonstrated ability to map (Visio) current and desired processes with detail showing the various process steps and who is performing each step
Ability to work effectively with subject-matter experts and participants from across CampusWorks and its relative client sites.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment?
Significant hands-on experience in higher education ERP systems
Ability to navigate MS SQL, and/or other reporting and processing tools, including writing query statements and documenting technical procedures
Advanced proficiency of MS Office Suite
