Tetra Tech Rooney, a Tetra Tech company, is currently seeking an Electrical Design Drafter to work in our Billings, MT location.

This position provides design support for pipeline, compressor station, and terminal/tank projects nationwide. A successful candidate will bring a desire to learn and excel in design drafting for a team of established consultants with a proven track record of more than 40 years in the Oil & Gas Industry.

Position Requirements:

  • Must have 5 years of experience in Electrical Design with Oil and Gas industry preferred

  • Proficient with one-lines, panel schedules, circuit schedules, area classification, grounding, cable tray, lighting, heat trace, communications, PLC panels, and loop diagrams.

  • Must be proficient with 3D, experienced with P&IDs, and well versed in NFPA 70 and API RP 500.

  • AutoCAD experience preferred, but MicroStation is acceptable

  • Must be proficient with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Access

  • Exposure to ProjectWise and SharePoint a plus

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be a self-starter capable of handling solo projects as well as working with a group, eager to learn and expand your skillset, and be detail oriented

  • Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or equivalent
