The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities and supporting maintenance functions. This position provides administrative assistance to improve the overall effectiveness of maintenance activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Use CMMS software to schedule operations and maintenance work activities in a manner that ensures project resources are efficiently allocated to support applicable phases of operations.
Responsible for planning, scheduling and organizing the efficient operation and performance of work assignments.
Develop operations and maintenance work packages and instructions to support work activities, including pre-planning, material staging requisitioning/expediting, labor estimating, and all other field support as required.
Monitor assignments to ensure they are within the agreed scope, schedule and budget, and that the work is being performed within outlined policies and expectations.
Review engineering plans and product specifications to determine raw material requirements and support operation schedules.
Work with Purchasing to obtain and schedule materials based upon production forecasts.
Work with Plant Engineering and related design areas to develop tools and instructions that maximize facility and equipment performance.
Anticipate and eliminates potential delays through planning and coordination of manpower, parts and materials, and equipment access.
Develop and maintain productive relationships with the production team, maintenance team, Production Supervisors, and local contractors.
Research and acquire mobile equipment as needed.
Maintain equipment file lists.
Manage the project management and work order system.
Provide assistance to the engineering department and the Maintenance Manager as needed.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Technical and/or specialized training in the mechanical/technical field, especially Industrial Maintenance preferred.
Minimum one (1) year of experience planning and implementing maintenance projects preferred.
Experience with Maintenance Management Systems (MMS) such as Maximo preferred.
Experience utilizing Maximo PM & MM modules preferred.
Experience using hand tools, machine shop equipment and electronic meter required.
Experience working in conceptual and theoretical project design and for the creation of improved systems required.
Significant Work Control experience preferred.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with executives, managers, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the organization.
Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook and field-specific software.
Basic math plus fractions, decimals and percentages, as well as algebraic calculations.
Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, establish priorities, ability to multitask, and meet deadlines.
Able to provide current, direct, complete, and "actionable" positive and corrective feedback to others, identifying issues and taking appropriate action.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.
