DESCRIPTION

**U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION** - Can be REMOTE

Michael Baker International is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, technology-focused BIM Coordinator to become an integral component of our dynamic and growing team in the Pittsburgh (Moon Township), PA office. With our success and focus on growing Federal (Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civilian (non-DoD) Agencies, and International Markets, along with strategic diversification including Healthcare, Aviation, and Transit, the position collaborates with multi-disciplinary design teams of architects, interior designers, building engineers (S/MEP/FP), and site/civil engineers executing traditional and alternative delivery projects, including Design/Build.


  • The successful candidate must demonstrate creative problem-solving, organizational skills, strong BIM-focused production management capabilities, and a thorough understanding of construction documents and constructability.
  • Assist with onboarding new staff regarding standards, workflows, and policies.
  • Coordinates efforts of multi-disciplinary architecture & engineering designers.
  • Leads multi-disciplinary Building Information Modeling (BIM) Process specific to assigned project scope of work and client requirements.
  • Develops and updates the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) throughout project.
  • Conducts initial BIM kickoff meeting for the project team and conducts regular BIM coordination & clash meetings, specific for each project.
  • Establishes master Revit model and workflow for shared coordinate implementation for all models
  • Manages submissions and compilation of drawing documentation. (i.e., drawing index, PDF bookmarks, client sheet data, etc.)
  • Maintains Revit model health and performs clash detection, submissions, file exchanges, and reports via Navisworks and BIM360.
  • Is a member of the BIM leader's group to research innovative technologies and help improve on standards and efficiency.
  • Maintains discipline Revit libraries and builds upon library families and library management.
  • Continually recommends improvements to standards and methods with a focus on company and project goals.

EXPERIENCE DESIRED


  • Working knowledge of Navisworks & AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge of BIM360/ Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Knowledge of technology-based collaborative systems like ProjectWise
  • Basic understanding of desktop design technology and Revit-centered troubleshooting
  • Ability to build and adjust Revit templates
  • Previous experience handling multiple multi-building projects at one time in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous asset management experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Dynamo, PyRevit, or Revit Addin development is a plus.
  • Experience working in the government sector using federal standards is preferred but not required.
  • BS/BA Architecture; Bachelor of Architecture; BS Engineering; or MS/MA Architecture of Engineering; or similar, related field of study and degree.

    • or documented 10+ years of BIM-centered project delivery in a non-residential environment, with demonstrated understanding of engineering and architectural concepts.


PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION


  • Expert level knowledge of Autodesk Revit.
  • Live in the EST or CST time zone of the United States.
  • 3-5 years of project design or BIM Coordination experience in the AEC industry.
  • Multi-disciplinary BIM-enabled project experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to articulate ideas, both verbally and in writing; personable and outgoing in work relationships, both externally and internally; highly precise, detailed, and self-organized.

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $57,569 - $88,115. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
