Position: Corporate Quality Specialist I
Location: Headquarters – Moon Township, PA

Hours of work: Mondays - Fridays, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 Hours/Week


The Corporate Quality Specialist I is responsible for maintaining supplier quality, product specifications, and applicable certifications such as NSF. The Corporate Quality Specialist I will be the primary backup for the Corporate Quality Specialist II position.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Assists with maintaining the NSF program for Calgon Carbon, including adding/modifying formulations as needed, allocation of expenses regarding the program and responding to any non-conformances issued during audits
  • Assists with various aspects of supplier control program, including toll processors and ensuring outside warehouses adhere to our policies - creating COA templates - Defines sample and testing requirements, sample and data tracking, and test facilities for outsourced products - tracking quality of outsourced product and recommending movements in our Global Quality Tier system - creates and manages standard work processes - audits outside warehouses and toll manufacturers to ensure they are following appropriate QA procedures - Assist with non-conformance reports (NCR) related to outsourced products
  • Assists with maintaining customer satisfaction programs, including: - Managing customer complaints (QIRs) - Responds to customer questionnaires and surveys - Internal ISO auditor - Manages special product or customer requirements as related to quality and testing
  • Assist with all aspects regarding creation and/or modification of carbon product specifications, including managing related master data in SAP

Qualifications

  • Associate degree (A.A.), or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is required
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent from four-year college or university is preferred
  • 0-2 years Quality Assurance related experience is required
  • Quality Assurance experience- outsourced (vendor and toll production) is preferred
