Reviews project specifications and confers with managers to determine assistance required in plan preparation, evaluation of project conditions, design changes and reports
Develops and initiates methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation
Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of the assigned task
Coordinates or performs field work to gather data and materials
Performs research to support project task
Reviews and interprets data to prepare complex analyses and reports
Uses complex software applications to edit, manipulate and report project/production data
Performs complex calculations and analyses to support project objectives
Provides technical guidance to client or other project personnel
Interacts with client to ensure satisfactory customer service
Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during project/production activities
Performs quality control procedures
Creates client communications, invoices and cost estimates
Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members, management and clients
Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in project activities
Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards
Will train other GIS and CAD staff
Develop familiarity with Michael Baker's practices, procedures, and standards
Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant experience
Associates degree (Batchelor's preferred)
GISP preferred
Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in ArcGIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D
Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
Ability to work independently and with a team
Willingness to mentor and teach others
Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
Driver's license
COMPENSATION The salary range for this position is $38,117 - $52,015. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
