Job Description:

Independent Electric Supply, Inc. (IES) opened in 1976 with ten employees to serve electrical contractors working in the high-tech aerospace industry. To manage the overall SPA & claims process in coordination with Pricing Manager; ensuring company rebate income is maximized while processes are as efficient and compatible across the various departments (sales, finance, product file, purchasing & pricing) as possible.


Essential Functions

  • Act as primary point of contact for all departments on SPA related issues; identifying and coordinating resolution on specific transactions while elevating systemic issues and recommendations for improvement to Pricing Manager. Maintain primary focus on meeting internal/external customer expectations while balancing overall process efficiencies and profitability impact to the organization.

  • Submit SPA claims in Eclipse per company policy and vendor terms & conditions.

  • Reconcile vendor SPA credits & chargebacks against company calculated rebate amounts – process credits & chargebacks with A/P.  Coordinate any needed Eclipse corrections to minimize SPA discrepancies.

  • Maintain key customer account (Supply Force) resale & SPA cost agreements in Eclipse per company policy & vendor SPA terms & conditions

  • Manage one-time rebate process per company policy and vendor terms & conditions

  • Research & coordinate correction for PO cost discrepancies as notified by A/P or branch personnel.

  • Create & distribute various routine reporting to branch personnel as deemed necessary by management to include but not limited to–potential SPA negotiations, various updates, etc.).

  • Maintenance of vendor distributor ID#s in Eclipse.

  • Coordinate & support work for Pricing Specialist; advising on additional resource allocation needs to Pricing Manager as needed.

  • Additional duties as directed.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred in Accounting, Finance or Communications, minimum one (1) year experience in a financial industry role.

  • Skills: Ability to effectively use MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Collect data and establish facts. Competencies include ability to navigate database effectively to extract relevant information.  Ability to manage time and tasks to meet deadlines.

Supervisory Responsibility, work environment and physical demands

·       This position has no supervisory responsibility.

·       This position works in a normal office environment, with standard office equipment.  Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.

·       Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.
