The Office of College Health Services is seeking two Staff Nurses/R.N. for part-time work (12-20 hours per week) during the academic year. Positions include working with a multi-disciplinary team in providing primary care of college students. Conduct primary assessment and treatment per registered nurse protocols, and plan for follow up care of clients seen in Medical Services (in collaboration with Nurse Practitioners, Counselors, the Director and consulting Medical Physician). Deliver follow up care and/or make appropriate referrals, coordinating with off-campus health care provider. Will also perform telephone triage to assess nature and severity of medical problems; determine an appropriate plan of care; schedule appointments and/or refer to hospital or other appropriate health service provider. Participates in health-related programming for students, and other college personnel and other duties as assigned or required.
R.N. license in New Hampshire is required; bachelor's degree in nursing desirable plus two to three years of relevant clinical experience, preferably with adolescents/young adults; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have broad clinical knowledge and skills, with training/experience in adolescent health care, ambulatory care and emergency medical services, health education and counseling along with a willingness to work as a team member in an ambulatory clinic environment. Experience with electronic health records, specifically Medicat is a plus. Weekend hours may be required.
