I. Position Summary:
The Sr. Financial Operations Manager assists with the management of the functions of Financial Operations for Inmar consolidated companies. Financial Operations activities include Cash Application, Credit and Collections, cash payments for corporate Accounts Payable, settlement payments for customer promotional activity (coupons/rebates) and bank account management. For certain Inmar product lines, Financial Operations assists with the month end revenue accruals and billing calculations for Inmar clients. The Financial Operations Manager is an integral part of the management team and will be expected to learn existing systems and processes and identify/implement improvements to increase efficiencies.
Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Manage the billing, cash receipts/application function for Inmar’s Hospital Returns line of business. Duties include ensuring accurate and timely billing to manufacturers, applying product return credits to client accounts based on consolidate payments from manufacturers, managing client credit allowance programs which allow for purchase of additional services using credits earned and ensuring proper accounting for related transactions. Assist with the development and management of credit policies for Hospital Returns line of business. Assist with development of best practices, policies and procedures, and operational efficiencies associated with areas of responsibility Assist with the overall management of the Financial Operations department, which includes ash Application, Collections and Payment Operations. Perform primary role in financial systems implementations/process improvements.
The position requires developing relationships with individuals at all business levels inside the Company. Frequent interaction with Account Operations Teams, Sales, Finance and Accounting. Interaction with vendors, external consultants, warehouse managers and other internal operations related personnel. Occasional contact with clients.
Individuals assigned to this position will have frequent access to client information and data, which are considered highly confidential due to our agent/client relationship and should be contained to the assigned area. Knowledge of the Company's products and services is confidential and should be contained to the Company due to the highly competitive industry in general. Knowledge of the company’s key strategic objectives and business direction of the Company will be critical to the success of achieving objectives.
- Experience with credit, collections and payment systems
- Experience working with multiple systems, complex, multi-step transactions in a multi-company environment
- Ability to travel on a regular basis as personnel performing day-to-day functions are located in California
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, creative problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills which relate well to a diverse workforce
- Demonstrated leadership ability, sound judgment, initiative and the confidence to make timely and informed decisions
