Pay Range

$139,600.00-$192,000.00 Annual

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.

This is a key leadership position with a focus on profitable growth, product development, market strategy and execution of operational and strategic goals. The position provides leadership in product and market management for the nonwovens business and more particularly for the building and construction market space. The position holder will be responsible for North American spunbond product positioning to meet customer demand and optimize value propositions. The Portfolio Manager works closely with sales, marketing, SIOP, manufacturing and innovation & commercialization (I&C) teams to ensure availability of the right products to serve the spunbond markets today and in the future.

This position is based out of our headquarters in Denver, CO or Spartanburg, SC.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Play a contributing role in strategic plan development with the business team.
  • Define innovation opportunities, value propositions and product criteria based on portfolio gaps and develop realistic business cases to support.
  • Gather and communicate product and market intelligence and macro trends and translate into actions.
  • Execute competitor analyses.
  • Define the product vision for the North American Spunbond product lines or adjacent new market spaces.
  • Drive joint developments with customers and identify new potential business opportunities.
  • Define criteria for new product developments in alignment with the Innovation and Commercialization team.
  • Validate existing product value propositions versus true market needs.
  • Represent Nonwovens business through attendance/participation and branding at relevant industry association & customer trade shows and events.
  • Play an active role in industry associations and groups, creating influence based on JM strategic direction.
  • Deliver the JM Experience to our customers through engagement with the Commercial Team.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in either engineering or business-related fields (MBA preferred)
  • At least (10) years in technical/commercial roles
  • Preferred at least (5) years experience in portfolio management or project management and prior experience in building products.
  • Proven project management skills
  • Strong analytical, financial, product, customer needs and market analysis skills
  • Strong strategic thinking and proven knowledge of portfolio lifecycle management
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to interface at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
  • Ability to take initiative and create momentum to achieve results.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
  • Thorough technical knowledge to understand product attributes, manufacturing processes, product technology, etc.
  • Medium travel required (25-40%)
  • Work environment is typical of an office setting.
