Senior Retail Planner

Perry Ellis International is seeking a Senior Retail Planner for our Headquarters located in Miami, FL. The Senior Retail Planner is responsible for all merchandise planning responsibilities for a Retail product category and works in partnership with the buying team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years experience in a similar capacity.


  • OTB responsibility and Inventory Management.

  • Location analysis and execution.

  • Partner with buyer to drive sales, gross margin and GMROI for a product category.

  • Initiate localized analysis, allocation and distribution strategy of product for the retail stores division; as well as door and assortment analysis.

  • Communicate findings and direction to corporate and store side teams.

  • Build strategic financial plans by location to deliver Sales, Margin and Turnover .

  • Review selling reports as well as weekly inventory reports to identify opportunity.

  • Strategize replenishment models and changes

  • Train and develop assistant planners.

  • Allocate product via Retek weekly.

  • Ad hoc analysis.

  • Visit stores regularly and communicate feedback.

  • Create/maintain demand sheets for replenishment product.

  • Build “store profiles” ( demo, size, color)  to effectively target and grow by location.

  • Effective communication with planning and buying teams; store personnel and vendors.


  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.

  • Minimum 6 years experience in a similar capacity.

  • High level of understanding of Excel & retail math.
