Job Summary:



The Sr. Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for leading and coordinating multiple projects involving cross-functional teams to deliver key IT and business process solutions. The individual will be involved from project inception through implementation and will help to manage issues, risks, assign and track resources, vendors, and budget. Additionally, the PM will help provide clear reporting to project stakeholders and to senior management.



Main Accountabilities:



  • Exhibits deep understanding of Agile and iterative methodologies.

  • Manages all aspects of a multi-phased IT project or multiple IT projects, typically involving multiple IT disciplines

  • Manages short- and long-term project goals and aligns them with client and organizational demands.

  • Provides support of critical technology project and program management phases and components (i.e., risk, requirements/specifications, design, build, test, release, compliance, etc.)

  • Defines, develops, and determines time-frame, procedures, staffing requirements and allotment of resources to various phases of projects.

  • Tracks estimates, effort, deliverable quality, defect tracking, reporting to management, etc.

  • Ensures team understands their goals clearly and is motivated to deliver under sponsor leadership

  • Establishes new processes to increase efficiency while improving existing ones

  • Clearly communicates project goals, responsibilities and deliverables, and timetables to project teams and stakeholders, and ensures all are satisfactorily achieved.

  • Maintains an open line of communication among stakeholders and keeps them informed. Provides status reporting and has experience in client-facing roles.

  • Manages vendor/service-providers and drives them to meet their commitments

  • Working knowledge of main IT functions, services and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), and ability to come up to speed quickly in required areas of expertise relevant to the success of the project.




Qualifications:



  • REQUIRED: Subject matter expert in one or more of the following technologies: JIRA, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Dashboarding, and Excel.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or related field

  • Project Management certification, including PMP, PgMP, and/or PMI-SP preferred, or equivalent proven work experience

  • Sr. Project Manager with 3-5 years of experience in large scale system transformation and migration projects, especially those involving data integrations between multiple systems

  • Familiarity/experience with insurance industry and business functions preferred
