Job Description:

As a Quality Control Technician, 2nd Shift, you will validate finished good properties of powder coating samples that come into QC and prepare those samples for spray testing. You are responsible for property testing that is reported to the customer and is important for accurate performance of the coating. You will work onsite in Grand Haven, MI and report to the Quality Manager.

Main Responsibilities:


  • Reduction of batch samples for spray-outs

  • Hand spray panels for defect analysis

  • Data Collection, Reporting, and Analysis

  • Communicate timely with other team members, stakeholders, and leadership

  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems.

  • Conduct yourself in all manner with safety in mind, follow safety protocols, where needed wear appropriate PPE, and report any safety issues immediately.

Qualifications:


  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required

  • Strong mathematic abilities and must be detail oriented

  • Previous Quality Control experience is preferred

  • Experience with paint/coating testing is preferred

  • Good computer skills required
