JOB DESCRIPTION

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supporting the sustaining of the current product portfolio within the Products & Solutions Water business. The ME will implement European product modifications to be introduced to the US market based on design change requests from Product Management, Quality, or Engineering departments. The selected candidate will partner with various project teams and production sites to support implementation of product changes to enable smooth product launches to our US market.

JOB DUTIES:

• Lead the implementation of modified European products to the US market according to US standards and common processes.
• Responsible for the creation of technical product specifications based on Product Manager's needs (BOM, packaging instruction, Installation instruction, implementation in the production, etc.).
• Coordinate the execution of prototypes and samples, evaluation of technical specifications of modified parts, defining tests, and the evaluation of testing results and all actions implemented in modified product.
• Support innovation, product maintenance, and value engineering objectives.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in successful implementation of product changes into production, or developing new products from materials such as plastics, brass, and/or copper alloy.
• Knowledge of related manufacturing processes (forging, casting, injection of the plastic material, stamping, and typical machining operations).
• Knowledge of project management and related techniques, including creating a project's scope of work and utilizing critical path method, and good orientation in PDM documentation and data management (change management).
• Familiarity with CAD (PTC Creo preferred) to create 2D drawings and 3D models of parts and assemblies.

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Ability to cross-collaborate with global team members and functions (North America, LATAM, EMEA).
• Knowledge of fluid controls products (valves, filters, actuators).
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
