Job Description:

Essential Duties • Manages the day to day operations according to responsibilities delegated. • Assist the Administrator in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility. • Is a role model for our Mission, Vision and Values. Ensures all employees, residents and families are treated with the utmost respect. • Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating our written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions. • Promotes census building, participates in admission decisions, and consults with the Administrator or Director of Nursing before rejecting an admission. • Participates in community affairs and civic organizations. • Addresses resident complaints daily to assure prompt follow-up by appropriate staff. • Promotes the Employee Benefits Program and encourages staff participation. • Follows employment policies and procedures for hiring, interviewing, discipline, terminations, etc. • Works with department heads to promote cooperation, leadership, communication, and budgetary skills. • Participates in the oversight of departmental compliance with budgetary parameters. • Assists in capital improvements. • Understands staffing level requirements and adheres to industry and company standards. • In the absence of the Administrator, serve on, participate in, and attend various committees of the facility. • May Assist the Administrator with staff education in regulatory compliance, inspection surveys, and operational policies. • May participate in survey responses according to oversight duties delegated. • Develops relationships with the support team (HR/Therapy/Clinical/Finance) to assist with meeting/exceeding goals. • Develop work assignments and schedule duty hours, and/or assist nursing supervisory staff in completing and performing such tasks. • Develop and maintain a good rapport with all services involved with the care plan to ensure that a team effort is achieved in developing the resident's comprehensive care plan. • Participate in the preparation and planning of the budget and submit to the Administrator for his/her review, recommendations, and/or approval. • Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.

Pay Rate: $21.00
