Job Description:

The Finance Development Program (FDP) at Medline is a high performing, leadership program that consists of a three-year rotational program for recent college graduates and summer internship program for incoming college Seniors. The FDP program aims to develop future Finance leaders through well-rounded rotations and exposure to cross-functional experiences focused on developing Finance, Business and Leadership Skills to tackle ever-growing business challenges.

The FDP Program Manager plays an important role in tactically leading all administrative and program management aspects of the FDP program while also assisting the Finance leadership team with thought leadership regarding entry level talent.
This role will indirectly collaborate with 3-6 cohort managers/mentors and broader program steering committee.
This role will indirectly manage and influence >25 program participants.


  • Conduct annual assessment and potential revision of program charter, promotional/branding materials and program portal on Medline's intranet site 'The Source', adjusting content as needed.

  • Build consensus across the Finance leadership team regarding program objectives, rotation assignments and assess the ongoing needs of early in career talent across the organization, tailoring program objectives accordingly. Actively engage with FDP employees and interns to promote a positive employee experience and support business goals.

  • Collaborate with leadership of other functional development programs to identify synergies and best in class practices. Evaluate processes and practices with a continuous improvement mindset; including developing a plan and owning projects through completion.

  • Conduct annual assessment of rotation content, meet with rotation managers to emphasize program objectives and rotation manager role/responsibilities. Support any potential program expansions both nationally and internationally.

  • Lead recruiting efforts including building and maintaining a strong following and awareness across a diverse list of undergraduate programs.

  • Collaborate with the campus recruiting team on summer internship program objectives and facilitate the end of summer project presentation and calibration process resulting in potential FDP offers.

  • Design and administer intra-program learning and development curriculum; cross functional lunch/learn sessions, executive leadership series, seminar/conference opportunities and final capstone project completion.

  • Conduct bi-annual performance assessment cycles and calibration process with collaboration from HR business partners.

  • Lead the planning, communication and execution of program specific; quarterly social events, annual 'graduation' celebration and program supported 'Fall Fest'.

  • Lead the annual 'program graduate' placement process, including the identification of open/new roles, candidate fit assessment balanced against candidate interest, and tactical interview/offer coordination.

Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or additional general business/organizational behavior related concentrations.
  • At least 5 years of working in a large global matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated examples of prioritization and organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail.
  • Participation within or relevant proximities to a functionally specific development program.
  • Experience building on-campus relationships and program branding.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that are capable of pivoting to a wide-spectrum of audiences.
  • Ability to leverage Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint as a medium for delivering presentations and discussions.
  • Willing to periodically travel for recruiting purposes (across lower 48 states).
Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a business related field or additional certifications/certificates/coursework in learning & development, leadership, mentorship and/or project management.
  • LSS Greenbelt/Blackbelt.
  • Experience directly managing people including recruiting, onboarding, training, developing and perpetually motivating.
