Centra Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for a full-time System Support Technician located in Columbus, IN.    

The Systems Support Technician position is responsible for implementation, support and maintenance of multiple applications and systems as well as providing advanced service delivery and technical support to Team Members and Branch locations.  This role will be involved in multiple IT projects at a time.

Spanish/English translators may be eligible for translation differential. The minimum starting wage for this opportunity is $29.41 per hour.         

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  This position may be required to perform additional duties as requested. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform.


  • Provides an advanced level of systems support for Centra locations Support includes troubleshooting, installing, repairing, testing and upgrading desktops and laptops.

  •  Supports Centra projects in providing on-site support to install equipment and serve as a technical lead at the site. Attends project meetings, provides IT support and updates project management on completed tasks.

  • Provides Service Delivery support on Tier II and Tier III issues.

  • Provides back-up off-site field support which requires driving to Centra locations.

  • Implements ticketing system for other Lines of Business usage and provides training for Team Members. Communicates with ticketing system vendor as needed.

  • Provides Team Member account management by facilitating modifications and setup for new hires, transfers, and terminations.

  • Creates reports in various systems to provide high level overview to IT Service Delivery Manager.

  • Provides impromptu audio/visual support to Centra Team Members.

  • Creates technical documentation for internal processes.

  • Provides after hours and weekend support for critical Service Delivery team and Field Support issues.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:  (Equivalent combination of Education & Experience will be considered.)


  • Associate's Degree in Related Field

  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
