Job Description:

Medline Industries, LP is the leading nationwide supplier of medical, surgical and pharmaceutical products to hospitals, nursing homes, HME providers, surgery centers, physician offices and home care/hospice settings. Due to continued growth, we are in need of a Learning and Development Specialist. The Learning and Development Specialist will be integral in ensuring that our learners receive excellent customer service and support with our learning offerings. The L&D team is responsible for working cross-functionally to identify learning gaps in our portfolio and solution ways to improve the learning and development experience of our employees. This team member will utilize their skills in organization, project management, instructional design, and LMS Administration to develop and design learning solutions and resources.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist Training Manager in developing and producing Manager and Leadership Development classes and programs delivered to all levels of people managers.

  • Create and oversee a seamless learner experience through the scheduling, coordination, and communication of the program and class calendar. Organize and prepare all participant materials including handouts, case studies, videos, virtual documents/attachments, emails etc

  • Use LMS to create and maintain courses. Track and maintain training records, reports, and learner analytics.

  • Draft effective communications regarding training updates and opportunities for people managers across departments.

  • Manage MD training materials and document library. Review, proofread, edit, and format documents. Update course materials as needed by partnering with SME's across the organization.

  • Evaluate effectiveness of training programs, via sending surveys to participants, compiling data and producing reporting

  • Improve, update, and maintain record keeping systems that provides relevant information concerning training content, activities, attendance, training hours and evaluation for L&D team.

  • Support and partner with project teams to develop new training classes.

  • Coordinate and support in-person learning activities, such as room set up and catering.

  • Facilitate, as needed training modules.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Instructional Design, Training and Development or related field OR a combination of education and experience
  • At least 1 year relevant business experience.
  • Experience in Product Support or Functional Training Support Roles in a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.
  • Ability to effectively present information. Ability to provide excellent internal and external customer service. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to work effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn and become proficient in use of company's Learning Management System (LMS). Must work well under pressure with proactive approach including managing multiple deadlines and changing project scope/direction.
