POSITION DESCRIPTION
Donated Goods Warehouse Manager
MENTAL DEMANDS: Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks at one time while serving
customers/donors. Highly organized, detail oriented, energetic,
team oriented individual with a positive can-do attitude and a
strong commitment to outstanding customer service. Fundamental
ability to understand, accept and work with people who have
disabilities and/or other barriers to employment.
MACHINES/EQUIPMENT: Calculator, fax machine, personal computer and other electronic
equipment. Ability to pass and maintain a forklift certification.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is primarily performed inside a warehouse environment, and
will also include donation, processing of donations and retail with
exposure to lifting. Some outside work may occur. Occasional
handling of trade fixtures. High adaptability required. Work
environment usually fast paced with frequent short deadlines and a
regular number of critical or unusual situations.
OTHER: Must have excellent interpersonal skills and values that reflect the
organizations mission and values. Maintain professional standards
of performance, demeanor, and appearance at all times. Must be 18
years of age or older. Must possess valid Michigan driver's license
with a good driving record, proof of insurance and use of personal
vehicle to conduct agency business.

Essential Job Functions
1. Effectively manage the logistics of incoming and outgoing donations and purchased goods.
2. Responsible for ensuring operating cost are within specific financial budget.
3. Responsible for the receiving and verification of new goods and donated goods deliveries.
4. Complete routing of new goods, seasonal donations, and supplies.
5. Effectively manage the flow of product between stores and warehouse.
6. Make quality and routing decisions on furniture and other donations as specified.
7. Responsible for inventory control and rotation of donations and purchased goods.
8. Schedule and assign various tasks to effectively execute daily production in the most efficient manner
possible.
9. Ensure that all incoming and outgoing shipments are documented properly, loaded or unloaded within
time requirements and properly loaded following appropriate loading procedures.
10. Responsible for researching and connecting with new salvage dealers to maximize revenue for outgoing
salvage product.

11. Responsible for professional level of communication with brokers and business partners concerning
sales, distribution, purchasing and partnerships.
12. Oversee the scheduling of home pick-ups and/or other donation events.
13. Oversee and maximize the productivity and revenue of the e-commerce area, to include books and online sale operations.
14. Ensure that established production goals are strived for and met on a regular basis.
15. Responsible for ensuring safety compliance for all warehouse operations to include staff and building
compliance.
16. Safely and efficiently operate a Hi-Lo.
17. Fill in as needed for coverage during staffing shortages.
18. Other related duties as assigned.

D. Analytical and planning skills needed to provide projections for storage needs, gaylords, skids, trailers,
and sort of donations.
