Job Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for overseeing the material purchasing, production scheduling, and cycle counting at Resideo Golden Valley; leading a team of material planners, cycle counters, and a buyer/expeditor. This position will be responsible for training these employees to ensure appropriate use of our tools and operating system. This role will ensure supply of raw materials and components required to maintain steady production and product delivery. You will support purchasing, scheduling, planning, and operations by assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing solutions.

JOB DUTIES:


  • Review lead times, minimum order requirements, and usage to determine order frequency and maintain target inventories.
  • Analyze and develop critical planning parameters such as safety stock levels and replenishment strategies.
  • Make purchasing decisions based on current inventory and consensus forecast.
  • Analyze inventory requirements vs. forecast/production plan.
  • Interface with operations to ensure staffing requirements are clear and planned in advance.
  • Interface with engineering on quality issues and alternate materials.
  • Interface with sourcing on supplier issues and re-sourcing projects.
  • Investigate issues, find root cause, and develop solutions.
  • Set up and maintain Material Master data in SAP.
  • Prepare and present Sales and Inventory Operating Plan (SIOP) and plant performance.
  • Responsible for Annual Physical Inventory.


YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 7+ years of related experience in supply chain functions with proven managerial experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Supply Chain related discipline or equivalent experience/education.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel; working knowledge of SAP or other ERP Systems.
