Responsibilities

The Operating Partner is responsible for the success of every operational aspect of a restaurant with a focus on guest service, staff development, cost management and profitability, creating an environment that is conducive to providing an outstanding dining experience for the guest and a symbiotic workplace that is committed to growth and development of its employees. The OP drives the culture and the brand in the local community. Engaging with local businesses, charities, local community leaders and educational outlets to immerse the business in Local Store Marketing, driving awareness, becoming the employer of choice, and delivering growth to top line revenues while embodying our core values in the communities we serve. The Operating Partner adheres to and supports our management systems, practicing and sharing our core beliefs. As an Operating Partner your responsibilities would include:


  • Directing work of Management Team, including setting weekly Management schedules, and assigning areas of responsibility to Managers of the restaurant
  • Building and developing the management and leadership team through mentorship and teachable moments
  • With assistance of a Management Team, enforcing compliance with all employment policies
  • Managing performance of Management Team, including conducting weekly Management directionals, performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline
  • Reviewing applications, interviewing, and hiring Management and Hourly employees
  • Providing ultimate oversight over all food, labor, and liquor costs
  • Providing ultimate oversight over compliance with applicable liquor laws and Responsible Alcohol Service guidelines
  • Managing weekly and monthly P&L, acting on sales and cost opportunities proactively
  • Planning, preparing, and overseeing weekly, monthly, and yearly inventories and budgets
  • Verifying audit, daily Taste & Temp, and training standards are being maintained
  • Overseeing the cleanliness of the restaurant, ensuring the facility is spotless and never in disrepair. Preventative maintenance always adhered to.
  • Enforcing appropriate security measures at the restaurant so that the safety of our employees and guests are always maintained
  • Overseeing incentive programs for Management and Hourly staff members
  • Overseeing development of Key employees and Managers including training in employment policies and practices
  • Understanding, managing, and practicing safe food handling procedures
  • Acting as primary liaison with all store vendors and support center contacts

Qualifications

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a General Manager
  • Hospitality school background preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to speak and understand Spanish preferred
