Dynamic Manufacturing, Inc. is searching for a motivated Software Controls Engineer Specialist

to join our rapidly evolving team!

Hands-on National Instruments (NI) LabVIEW developer with extensive experience using LabVIEW and TestStand. The primary function of this position is to develop, debug, and maintain LabVIEW and TestStand programs. These programs are used on test stands to test and validate automotive automatic transmissions and its sub-assemblies. Dynamic uses Microsoft Access as the primary database interface with NI TestStand.

Software Controls Engineer Specialist Core Responsibilities

• Create or modify LabVIEW and TestStand, programs to meet testing needs for current or upcoming programs


• Create test operational documents to support current and modified programs.


• Full lifecycle application development. Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages.


• Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis.


• Software experience level: Advanced


• Software modeling and simulation.


• Front-end graphical user interface design.


• Software testing and quality assurance. Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation.


• Support, maintain and document software functionality. Integrate software with existing systems.


• Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation.


• Project Planning and Project Management. Maintain standards compliance.


• Implement localization or globalization of software.


• Ability to write proposal for new projects or modernization of existing equipment


• Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical test equipment and components.


• Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  


• Able to respond effectively to unanticipated, time-sensitive and mission-critical test stand repair needs in a rapidly changing, high intensity environment.


• Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with other members of the engineering team, as well as with production personnel and senior management.

Software Controls Engineer Specialist Job Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in applicable engineering or science field preferred, however candidates with relevant equivalent experience will be considered.


• Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD) required


• Experience using NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand


• 3-5 years of active LabVIEW experience required


• 1+ years experience utilizing C++, CVI/LabWindows


• Experience with National Instruments hardware


• Experience using and manipulating data using Microsoft Access


• Able to create documents in MS Word, Excel and Access.


• Experience in an industrial manufacturing testing environment or a related discipline

Preferred:

• Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) preferred


• Certified TestStand Developer (CTD) preferred


• Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) preferred


• 1+ years of active TestStand experience preferred


• Experience with CAN, EtherCat, Modbus, TCP/IP


• Experience with CVI, FPGA, and Real-Time modules


• Skill in Auto CAD preferred


• Skill with MS SQL Programming preferred
