Ideal candidate will possess 1-3 years’ experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, or related manufacturing discipline and strong organizational and analytical skills, as well as being detailed oriented and familiar with preparing accounting entries in accordance with GAAP.

Salary Range:$70,000 - $90,000 plus 7% bonus
Core Responsibilities:
Develop, refine and document the cost accounting process in collaboration with the Operational Accounting team.
Focus on in-depth understanding of manufacturing processes to perform meaningful analysis and reporting on key drivers related to operational cost and inventory levels and transactions.
Ability to interface and collaborate with operations personnel to understand and translate manufacturing flow to accounting process and identify and recommend improvements to current and future state.
Perform and own process of month-end close related to production costing and inventory including the preparation and posting of journal entries and focus on balance sheet reconciliations.
Conduct and Lead meetings with operations personnel to identify and evaluate operational impacts on accounting/business.
Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
Identify and investigate drivers of variances in monthly cost results.
Support operations personnel in their objectives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Analyze any changes in goods or services provided to determine impacts to cost and margins.
Build estimates of new and proposed product costs.
Analyze costs transactions and recommend cost savings.
Strong analytical ability to support creation of new tools to help drive operational success.
Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, analytics or related field (essential)
1-3 years of financial analysis, cost accounting or related work experience, with strong interest in analysis, managerial accounting and manufacturing process (essential)
Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and critical thinking skills (essential).
Comfortable collaborating and communicating with operators across all levels of the organization with focus on building and fostering relationships.
Familiarity with P&L and standard financial statements.
Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
Ability to create and analyze data to help the business make decisions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in Manufacturing
Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Proficiency in ERP with strong ability to navigate subledger activity, reporting and other queries
Self-motivated and demonstrates initiative and strong work ethic.
