  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Excellent computer skills - MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • PHR, SPHR & MBA are a plus;
  • Human Resources Generalist experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and connect at all levels in the organization
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience working with Excel, Oracle HRIS
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills

Under the guidance of the HR Manager, this position provides HR operational support for multishift manufacturing group of approximately 700 non-union employees.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet Aerospace's value and policy statement and its accompanying principles;
  • Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations;
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment;
  • Report all job-related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook);
  • Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner;
  • Attend all EH&S training.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions


  • Manage Hourly/NES staffing - approvals, recruitment, compensation, extending offers, pre-employment screening, onboarding;
  • Lead new employee orientation for all Dover, NJ hires;
  • Create and modify job descriptions within all departments.
  • Manage Affirmative Action reporting;
  • Support Dover University Programs - Apprentice program, summer interns, etc.
  • Maintain employee information in HRIS (GPS Person Management);
  • Recommend new approaches, corrective actions, and updates to policies and procedures to improve efficiency of department and services performed;
  • Assist with workforce reductions, administering layoffs in accordance with policy;
  • Facilitate Hourly/NES Employee Performance management cycles;
  • Payroll - Responsible for providing substitute administration (infrequent back-up coverage);
  • Employee Relations - May participate in workplace investigations to resolve employee relations issues
  • Process terminations, New Hires and UI Claims
  • Perform other assignments as required
