Position Summary

We are seeking a Copywriter to join the Direct-to-Consumer Creative team at Constellation Brands reporting into the Associate Creative Director, DTC.​ This role will help conceptualize, develop, and create copy specific to all relevant channels, geared to drive results based on ongoing performance analysis and category insights.  

The position is responsible for delivering effective, aesthetic, on-brand, and on-strategy creative deliverables for websites, web landing pages, email & SMS promotions, social media organic content/ads, and packaging. 
 
The ideal candidate is excited to join a high-growth, newly developed group, tasked with driving direct to consumer innovation across an iconic and established premium portfolio of wine brands, while taking on a wide array of the following responsibilities (and maybe even a touch more!): 

Responsibilities


  • Conceptualize and write brand copy for all brand-owned channels, both digital and print, based on a set of brand & style guidelines

    • For digital, this includes but is not limited to websites, website landing pages, social media content (both organic and ads), SMS and email campaigns  

    • Physical print designs include packaging and promotional materials.



  • Collaborate with Growth discipline counterparts in the planning & production of all digital assets, with the end goal of getting prospective customers to click, and ultimately convert on purchases.  

  • Make real-time adjustments and conceptualize new ideas but on creative performance and bottom-up insights shared from the Growth teams.  

  • Develop multi-variate copy for all brand properties & channels (e.g. paid media ad campaigns, subject lines, emails, landing pages, and more)

  • Translate product positioning, category insights, and “bottom-up”, performance-based learnings into copy elements geared to drive DTC e-commerce KPIs (our ultimate goal is to sell wine online...)

  • Collaborate with developers (both internally and external agency partners) to ensure proper implementation of copy within a web and mobile environment and ensure consistency and integrity of the creative direction and brand guidelines.

  • Ensure consistency of brand and creative across all digital customer touch points.

  • Actively participate in ongoing brainstorms and promotional calendars, and then develop copy for the resulting campaigns

  • Closely partner with Designers to ensure key messaging and copy is integrated within all relevant deliverables, as well as a Creative Project Manager to ensure deliverables are prioritized and executed on-time. 

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing/advertising/communications or a related field ​and/or ​1-3 years of professional experience supporting consumer brands (either internally or for an agency) with digital graphic design

  • A broad portfolio of Copywriting proven to drive business results, and aesthetically align with brand guidelines (experience with luxury brands a plus)

  • Deep knowledge of social media ad asset guidelines, and an understanding of platform capabilities and user behavior

  • Comfortable working within presentation tools such as Google Slides, PowerPoint, and Keynote

  • Proven ability to collaborate with Paid Media Buyers, Designers, Project Managers, and other cross-functional groups
