The candidate will support the Senior Analyst covering Semiconductors, Semi-Cap equipment and Auto Technology at Mizuho Securities, located in Chicago. Key responsibilities include modeling, gathering and analyzing industry information, developing earnings models and writing reports on companies under coverage. Candidates should be able to communicate investment ideas and industry information to internal sales team and external investors. The role is that of a Senior associate with a minimum of 4 years direct, prior experience in equity/ securities research in Semiconductors.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Build dynamic industry models and an integrated Income Statement/Balance Sheet/Cash Flow Statement analysis model.




• Capable of searching for alternative data sets and simplifying and summarizing complex Industry information for Weekly Industry and Quarterly Tech Thematic updates.

• Superior written and oral communication skills and contribute to Research reports, presentations and company initiations.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills using Excel,




•  Solid organizational and time management skills.




• Minimum of 4 years related work experience a plus.




• Ability to function independently as well as maintain a collegial and collaborative approach to working with other team members




• Compensation is commensurate with experience and capabilities.




• An advanced degree (MBA) or CFA and / or SIE, Series 63, 86 and 87 licenses are a plus.
