ECD Program Overview

This is the first class of the Early Career Development Program hiring entry level Software Engineers to embark on an 11-month development program that couples technology training with real life experience supporting various technology stacks and projects.

Cohort Start Dates March 2022 and July 2022

Training

The foundation of the Early Career Development Program is our hands-on training curriculum. It's a building block approach to develop the skills you'll need to support our dynamic and rapidly growing clients. The program consists of classroom-style instruction intermixed with online training courses. The first month you'll learn foundational skills that focus on professional skills understanding our unique technology model. With these skills in place you'll develop solutions tailored to our rapidly growing clients.

Rotations

While training, you will be imbedded with SVB Technology business units to receive hands-on training in areas such as architecture, data, and delivery. You'll collaborate with technologists to complete work, develop skills and hone your interests.

Life in ECD

While in ECD you'll assist in managing all aspects of technology development; specifically, in the areas of full stack development; focused on cloud ecosystem, modern delivery, APIs and microservices in an agile environment. While also gaining an understanding of the bank's various sectors, products, and services. You will be guided by a management team that has sat in your chair and has decades of collective experience. Significant 1:1 mentorship every step of the way will help develop the technical and soft skills for a successful career.

Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who have a strong base of technical ability coupled with the soft skills needed to collaborate and work with various teams both during and after ECD. •You're interested in leveraging your experience in the program to explore further career opportunities at SVB•You like to think creatively and enjoy problem-solving•You have the ability to write well, speak powerfully and explain complex situations with ease•You're a team player with the ability to coach others as well as be coached•You've earned your bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
