The Opportunity:

OpenText Enterprise Information Management (EIM) technologies and business solutions allow organizations to take full advantage of enterprise information to gain better business insight, capitalize on opportunities to positively impact the business, improve process velocity, reduce risks related to information governance, and protect sensitive information and intellectual property from internal leaks and external threats. This position involves being part of a dynamic team environment responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and supporting software solutions to meet business requirements.

Primarily focused on web development on our eCommerce platform and serving as the technical lead of the team. The candidate should have experience developing clean, scalable, secure web applications using modern technologies and with providing technical leadership to a team of software developers. The ideal candidate has full stack experience working with databases, servers, and browsers.

You Are Great At:

• Translate and validate business requirements and transfer into functional/technical requirement documents working within the framework of the tools available


• Interact with Business representatives to ensure their requirements are being met


• Develop solutions to meet the business requirements while meeting time and cost constraints


• Lead technical solution discussions


• Participate in the migration of data from acquired systems into OpenText systems


• Evaluation/execution system upgrades


• Participate in the full software development lifecycle (requirements, design, code, unit test, implementation)


• Adhere to IT Change Management and best practices


• Investigate and fix advanced (3rd level) application issues


• Identify opportunities for process improvements/efficiencies and drive adoption of high priority value improvements within the team

What it Takes:

• 7+ years of extensive knowledge of server-side web development and common patterns (PHP preferred)


• Experience developing and working with Web Services (REST preferred)


• Strong knowledge of Relational Databases (SQL Server preferred)


• Experience using a source control management system (Git preferred)


• Exhibited skills writing unit tests


• Experience with Linux servers and working on the command line


• Experience deriving technical requirements from non-technical sources


• Strong hands-on experience with web technologies, web standards & protocols


• An aptitude to learn new technology quickly


• An aptitude to deeply understand business processes


• A bachelor's degree, college diploma, or equivalent experience in software development


• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time to meet deadlines


• The ability to work independently and as part of a team


• A high degree of comfort with complex technical environments


• Experience acting as a Tech Lead with significant responsibility, and a track record of good decision-making

Estimated Pay Range: 120K to 150K
