IT Business Analysis Specialist




What can you expect?



  • As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the planning of process improvement, insurance product implementation, system enhancement and technology implementation solutions.

  • In partnership with business leaders, business colleagues, clients, and vendors, you will identify business needs and help implement changes to achieve business goals.

  • You will define business requirements; process flows and use cases.

  • The Business Analyst is responsible for User Acceptance Testing to ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of the business unit.

  • The Business Analyst will be a functional expert on the specified business topics and in-scope application(s) as liaison between the business unit and Information Technology.

  • The Business Analyst will also act as Project Manager for small sized projects as necessary.

We will count on you to:



  • Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into clear and actionable deliverables.

  • Develop and maintain documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and user stories.

  • Analyze data and generate reports to provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and drive operational efficiency.

  • Be responsible for the Business Requirements Definition process, translating business strategies and objectives into business requirements and delivering within designated project timelines.

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.

  • Understand business and technology environments, application and process capabilities.

  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

  • Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Provide an understanding of existing procedures, policies, practices and products and renders insights to the project team regarding future state needs, requirements and impacts.

  • Help prepare/update status reports and task planning activities

  • May run small projects without a Project Manager.

  • Develop User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Test Plans and coordinates and participates in UAT process.

  • Communicate needed changes discovered in UAT to Project Manager and development team.

  • Participate in smoke testing in release process.




What you need to have:



  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive team environment.

  • Knowledge of business process modeling and documentation.

  • The ability to translate business strategies and objectives into business requirements.

  • Previous background in P&C Commercial insurance preferred

The applicable base salary range for this role is $69,100 to $138,400.


The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
