Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Property/Asset Management Analyst 3/4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Huntsville AL and support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Overseeing, managing and analyzing activities associated with asset business systems to ensure company, customer and US Government property located on site and at subcontractors are managed in accordance with applicable regulations and policies to achieve best value and operational excellence.
  • Maintaining property accountability records and determining condition and arranging disposal of excess property.
  • Developing, recommending, and implementing property management policy.
  • Developing solutions to complex problems.
  • Preparing, revising, and maintaining Principles and Operating Practices (PrOP) documents in a current state relative to applicable regulations, policy, and industry standards.
  • Preparing and delivering Property/Asset Management training to other Northrop Grumman organizations.
  • Maintaining clear visibility and traceability of all property accountable to the GBSD contract (Northrop Grumman owned Capital as well as customer owned).
  • Prepares and tracks all transfers of accountability shipping from the Huntsville facility.
  • Coordination with Logistics personnel for storage space, and performs identification (tagging) of all assets received accountable to the SDSD GBSD contract.
  • Coordination with Logistics for identification (tagging) of assets received accountable to the SDSD GBSD contract as well as Northrop Grumman owned Capital accountable to SDSD.
  • Responsible for preparing all transfers of accountability (example; DD Form 1149's) for all property being shipped to other Northrop Grumman sites under Inter-Company Work Orders (IWOs).
  • Maintaining secure storage area for all assets being stored for current SDSD GBSD activities and all property declared excess and is in the Plant Clearance process.
  • Coordinates closely with SDSD Property Management counterparts located in Utah.
  • Responsible for property management metrics relative to SDSD GBSD for the Huntsville operation.
  • Performing physical inventory/reconciliation activities.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualifications:




Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business, Finance, or related program with 5+ years of related experience in Property/Asset Management - OR - a Master's degree from an accredited university with 3+ years of related experience. An additional 4 years' experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business, Finance, or related program with 9+ years of related experience in Property/Asset Management - OR - a Master's degree from an accredited university with 7+ years of related experience. An additional 4 years' experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
Additional Basic qualifications for both levels:
  • Strong PC skills and proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel.
  • Experience contributing to the development of new property/asset management concepts, techniques and standards.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active DoD Secret level security clearance.
  • Experience with AssetSmart and SAP environments
  • Certified Professional Property Administrator (CPPA) certification with the National Property Management Association (NPMA).
  • Aerospace/Defense Industry experience.
