We are seeking a Director, Sales Performance & Development Coach to enhance performance, coaching and talent development for Prudential’s Hybrid Advisory team of professionals who deliver holistic financial planning and advice to clients and prospects exclusively by phone and/or video chat. This role will partner with the Advisory Services and Business Execution & Optimization Directors to drive high performance for a highly engaged team of financial professionals and support teams focused on delivering financial plans, expert advice, solution fulfillment of proprietary and non-proprietary solutions to meet client’s needs and financial goals. 

The Director, Sales Performance & Development Coach will serve as a strategic partner to the Hybrid Advisory Services Director, elevating and developing our Investment and Insurance Advisors.  Observe and coach advisors with a focus on financial planning acumen and consultative selling framework.  Responsible for the development and implementation of training programs in partnership with the Learning & Business Consulting Team. Accountable for driving growth, retention, and a strong client experience.  Ensure that sales processes are customer focused, consistent, effective and efficient. This leader will observe meetings, set up platforms for best practice sharing across all of our client interfacing team members, and implement coaching plans where appropriate.  This leader will enable sales strategies and tactics to ensure the success of our advisors and representatives.  Must be able to develop a cohesive set of solutions in complex, unstructured environments. Proactively seek efficiencies to enhance and evolve our operating model to effectively serve our clients and foster strong financial results.  Manages various projects and tests strategies to develop consistent and repeatable sales practices. Possess comprehensive and highly specialized knowledge of financial planning tools as well as sound business industry knowledge.  Ability to influence and inspire teams to achieve excellence.  Must possess an innovative and growth mindset as we continue to build and scale.

Our ideal candidate has experience leading successful teams through change and cultivating culture and engagement while managing the complexities of testing, learning and scaling a new operation into a successful, profitable capability. This leader should have a coaching and innovative mindset that helps drive talent and skill development needed to support a winning hybrid advice model. 

How you will contribute to our team:


  • Sales + Performance coaching (50%)

    • Plan, coordinate, and partner within RAS and across the broader organization on the execution and implementation of business goals; influence internal leaders and stakeholders across a complex business landscape as we optimize and scale up

    • Advocating and coaching cross functional team members on performance and skill development

    • Continual improvement toward performance objectives





  • Culture and Engagement (20%)

    • Manage culture and engagement focused initiatives within the hybrid team such as training needs, development programs, and employee engagement

    • Take on the role of an Initiative Owner (IO) as part of our transformation and work to support the bankable plan; using rigorous logic to analyze and understand potential value in our organization and how to achieve it; leverage innovate thinking to implement creative, cost effective and realistic solutions that create business impact





  • Training and Development (30%)

    • Explore opportunities for cross-collaboration with Prudential Advisor organization around innovative coaching methodologies

    • Manage and evolve technology to enable high performance across the team

    • Focus on leading practices and optimal/consistent practice management across roles



Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing, Operations, or equivalent work experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in the financial services industry with investment and insurance products

  • Highly engaged, inspirational leader with a background of achieving and exceeding business goals

  • Proven expertise in customer experience, financial planning, and sales

  • Ability to work well with a cross-functional, geographically dispersed team

  • Demonstrates strong aptitude for mentoring/coaching and a passion for the development of people

  • Strong emotional intelligence, ability to lead and cultivate empathy, self-awareness, building trust and harnessing team’s intrinsic motivation, and influencing without authority

  • Embraces change and is flexible to adapt to evolving needs

  • Sound business industry knowledge

  • Series 7 and 65 or 66 required

Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident.

Salary range specific to Colorado: $110,200-149,200 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
