We are seeking a Device Development Senior Technician to work within MilliporeSigma Process Solutions Filtration R&D.This position will be based at our Bedford, MA campus. As part of our R&D organization, the successful candidate will help develop novel products used to process and purify biopharmaceutical products.Product configurations can include pleated cartridges, flat plate and spiral module design formats. You will work closely with engineers/scientists to execute experiments and deliver quality results with minimal supervision. You will have expertise in operating Pilot scale equipment and participate in technology transfer to Manufacturing facilities. Position requires an ability and curiosity to continuously learn new equipment, methods and materials. Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds unaided and 25-100 pounds with assistance and/or proper engineering controls.
Who You Are:
High School Diploma with 5+ years of related technical experience or Associates degree in engineering, science, or equivalent related technical area, with 2+ years of experience
1+ years of experience with automated manufacturing equipment operation
1+ years of hands-on working experience in R&D and/or laboratory environment
Hands-on mechanical aptitude
Experience in roll-to-roll processing and web handling is a strong plus
Experience with injection molding of plastics is a strong plus
Work both independently and as part of a team
Be self-motivated and possess a strong work ethic
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Demonstrate knowledge of EHS regulations, good safety practices and ergonomics principles
Follow written procedures and protocols using good laboratory habits
