Join Macquarie'sHouston based Infrastructure team as aCloudPlatformEngineer.
In this role, you willleverageyour strong cloud/integration backgroundwhileworking closely with our businesseson developing cloud solutions.You will need to be passionate aboutdeliveringthe best solutions within a dev/ops environment, with the aim of providing our businesses with robust/flexible and agile systems to meet our client's needs.
You could be part of a team helping drive our businesses infrastructure and cloud capabilities by providing complex solution designs.
In this role your key responsibilities include:
providingcloudconsultingto the businesseswithin an agileenvironment
playingakeyrole in empowering our teams to move to the cloud service and getting the most out of Continuous Integration \ Continuous Development(CI\CD)approaches
working collaboratively with our dev/ops & core services engineering teams with an"ownitend-to-end"mindset to deliver innovative solutions
understanding our businesses requirements to develop complexITsolutions across multiple infrastructure technology platforms (cloud & foundational)
operating in aGitOpsmodel
collaboratingwith engineers around the world
demonstratingan understanding and adherence to enterprise risk management principles and technicalstandards
Weanticipatethat to excel in this role you will have:
expert level knowledge of cloud technologies,preferably AWS
familiarity with AWS constructs such as CloudFormation, EC2, S3,RDS, Lambda,IAM, VPC,andCloudWatch
hands ondevelopmentexperience inany one or more of theselanguagesGo, Ruby, Java, Python, NodeJS
background in enterprise class cloud & infrastructure solutionsfrom observability perspective
technical knowledge and proven experience of public cloud & on-prem foundational services deployments
depth of technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas, as a hands-on engineer:Cloud Technologies,Data Networks (Firewall/Load Balancers/Routing/OSI model);UNIX Engineering(bash scripting); Database Administration; Windows Engineering(PowerShell)
