Maintains campus grounds and operates mowing and other power equipment.

1. Operates large mowing equipment and tractors to mow campus lawns.


2. Operates small power equipment such as line trimmers, lawn mowers, gasoline edgers and mowers to trim and manicure campus grounds.


3. Under supervision, prunes trees and shrubs.


4. Assists with application of fertilizers and horticultural chemicals.


5. Plants and cares for flowers and ground cover beds and assists with landscape projects as instructed.


6. Pulls, chops, hoes and removes weeds.


7. Picks up trash, paper and debris.


8. Sweeps and maintains parking lots and sidewalks.


9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned, including set-ups and preventative maintenance.
