Job Description:

Manage, mentor, and train team members of the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) Department. This position will foster productive relationships with internal bank units, clients, programs, and processors to prevent or detect financial crime; supervise and provide oversight for Case Investigation departments for MetaBank.  We protect Meta from risk and loss and safeguard the company from suspicious activity!

 

 

What you will do:

 

• Responsible for supervision of teams to include hiring, training, assigning, and directing work, establishing goals, evaluating performance, and resolving employee-related issues.


• Ensure cases are completed in a timely manner and appropriate actions are performed and documented.


• Maintain timeframes associated with networks, government agencies and established service level agreements.


• Analyze trends and forecast performance through various operational reports.


• Report timely and accurate trending for communication of comprehensive results to management with recommendations for further mitigation strategies.


• Communicate risk review results to program administrators and management with recommendations for suggested risk mitigation strategies.


• Utilize reporting capabilities to manage proactive risk and make recommendations for strategic methodologies.


• Collaborate with Quality & Training Coach and MetaBank Second Line to ensure team member training and quality complies with standards set forth by the FIU.


• Maintain and update all documentation for policies and procedures. Assist in maintaining all documentation, process flow improvements and investigative strategies to improve efficiency.


• Hold meetings to explain risk management best practices to team members, partners, clients, and processors.


• Collaborate with law enforcement under the direction of the FIU law enforcement liaison program


• Other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

 

What you will need:

 

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience required


• Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS) preferred.


• Strong knowledge of traditional bank products, operations and corresponding investigations preferred.


• Additional experience in the credit card and/or pre-paid industry a plus.
