About The Role

Responsible for the completion of analytically driven actionable insights and the tracking/reporting processes within an analytics team, completing tasks/analyses in support of all assigned Operational Areas.

This position is an on-site opportunity at our PREMIER Bankcard location in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to understand both the data and the business well enough to formulate questions, analyze and deliver insights to business executives on possible changes to business operations, products, or services.


• Seek out business opportunities using data and provide recommendations to management.


• Capable of independent research; must be able to fulfill the responsibilities of the position with little or no supervision; assesses priorities and changing needs and directs others accordingly.


• Identify and/or develop advanced analytical techniques that enable the business to respond proactively to shifts in market dynamics.


• Utilize Cloud data environment leveraging tools such as Snowflake, Tidal and DBeaver.


• Experience with techniques for both qualitative and quantitative analysis and with using statistical approaches to solve analytics problems.


• Leverage advanced mathematics, programming, and tools (such as statistical modeling, machine learning, and artificial intelligence) to perform large-scale analysis.


• Exhibit intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, a healthy skepticism, good intuition, problem-solving abilities, and creativity.


• Ability to lead and/or mentor lower-level analysts.


• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the progress and impact of strategic initiatives.


• Develop dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate strategic insights and performance metrics to senior leadership.


• Monitor key risk metrics, trends, and portfolio performance indicators.


• Identify emerging credit risks and provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.


• Responsibilities may include leading a team of analysts.

Skills and Qualifications

• 
  

  Preferred minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in data science/Analytics or a related field (i.e. Business), and two (2+) or more years of practical business experience in financial services with preference given to experience in consumer finance.

  The ideal candidate would possess actionable understanding of credit card systems. Combination of education/experience that would enable incumbent to meet essential functions and required competencies of the position would be considered for the right candidate.

  Special consideration given to advanced degrees in related fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science and Business Administration.

  
  


• 
  

  Expertise with Power BI or equivalent (Tableau, Qlik Sense), SQL and/or SAS or equivalent (Python, R), and cloud computing/databases (Snowflake/ DBeaver/ Tidal).  Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in the English language.  Must possess the ability to communicate complex analytical findings into consumable, action-driven business insights.
