GPS Manufacturer/Distributor

We are seeking a full-time Release Coordinator for our headquarters in the greater Kansas City area. In this role you will be responsible for contributing to process and procedure improvements for development teams to utilize when releasing applications into production as well as coordinating issue resolution that may occur after a production deployment to ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner. Other essential functions include: 



  • Communicates release status effectively to team members and release stakeholders




  • Develops and maintains project plans with milestones, timelines and deliverables with minimal oversight




  • Gathers and reports project status to internal customers and first line business owners




  • Identifies interdependencies in projects




  • Offers some suggestions to improve processes




  • Applies standards and procedures to accomplish tasks




  • Learns how to use and apply appropriate tools as needed for this role




  • Thoroughly documents work in an organized manner



 

Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or another relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Other requirements include:  



  • Must possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience performing substantially similar essential functions




  • Must demonstrate ability to learn how to use and apply applicable technologies for effective performance of the essential functions of this job description




  • Experience with build systems and development tools such as Jenkins, XCode, Android Studio, and git.




  • Demonstrates familiarity with SDLC, Quality Standards, and Best Practices




  • Experience successfully coordinating large scale globally based projects to move, add, and change aforementioned underlying technologies.
