Cloud Operations Engineer will help manage all the AWS accounts within Access. They will guide the teams on best AWS best practice, help perform reviews, and manage cost. The candidate will be responsible in working with an MSP. Security and compliance is paramount, and the candidate will be responsible to ensure teams are following the proper security standards and work with the MSP and AWS to ensure well architected reviews are done.
Primary Functions:
Design, build and implement enterprise class cloud solution for a development, staging and production environment.
Identify design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements.
Research next generation tools and technologies.
Build standards, patterns, and tools that help engineers to effective use of infrastructure.
Configure and manage our software defined networking capabilities including VPCs, security groups, network ACLs, and route tables
Providing IT Systems Engineering support on a wide range of technologies, including VMware vCenter, Certificate Services, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policies and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
Contribute and collaborate with other Cloud team members across the security programs, Security Incident Response, Data Protection and SOC Engineering.

Actively contribute to ongoing process improvement
Know and understand defined role in the Company Disaster Recovery Plan
Fully support and promote company approved products, services and polices
Notify direct supervisor of any issues related to job function

Education and Years of Experience:
Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent.
3-5 years of AWS cloud experience
3+ years of experience working in development or operations (or DevOps) organizations.
Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with Cost Optimization, including RI
Hands-on experience working with platform automation tools including (any or all the following) Cloudformation, Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet
Ability to manage an MSP
General understanding of networking and system administration.
Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, or other DVCS
Experience with AWS Lambda functions using Python, Java, Node.js and/or C#
Have the ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal oversight
An understanding and/or practical experience with AWS Cloud Security Structures & Services
Physical Requirements (lifting, etc.):
Periodic lifting up to 25 pounds
Sitting for long periods of time
Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment
Ability to speak to and hear end-users via phone or in person
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate or AWS Certified Developer Associate
Provable experience with and understanding of core AWS services (such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Route53, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudFront, CloudWatch, Direct Connect, Systems Manager, AWS Config, WAF) uses and basic architecture best practices
