Housekeeper - 1st Shift

The Housekeeping position is responsible for keeping the plant clean, organized and free from dust. Housekeepers play a very important role in this plant by keeping it clean and preventing large dust accumulation. It is imperative that this plant stay clean and dust free at all times - therefore, a Housekeeper will spend every hour working towards this goal. Housekeeping also works on miscellaneous projects around the plant, as assigned by supervisor.

HOURS:

  • 1st Shift (7:00am- 3:30pm), hours may vary with business need and may require overtime and some weekend work.

WAGE RANGE SALARY:

  • $17.60/ hour . The company also provides a comprehensive benefits package as well as many other company sponsored benefits.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High School Diploma, GED Certificate, or equivalent

  • 18 years of age or older

  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and possess basic mathematical skills

  • Climb / Work at heights

  • Dump back feed/Re-Stack Pallets

  • Work in a hot, dusty environment

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The qualified candidate will have the ability to work 40+ hours per week. He/she must be able to repeatedly lift 60 lbs. and occasionally 100 lbs. The candidate must be able to multi-task; work as a team player; and work in a fast-paced environment with very high responsibilities. This candidate must be self-motivated and self-directed. He/she must also be able to work without direct supervision. environment, you will be walking, standing and engaging in movement throughout the day, and occasionally to frequently be required to lift items weighing up to 60 lbs and occasionally 100 lbs. Due to a large variety of job duties (both routine and non-routine), certain duties also may involve, a variety of physical activities including bending, lifting, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms above shoulders and head, standing, working in enclosed areas, climbing stairs or ladders, and operating heavy machinery. The noise level in the work environment can vary but noise is usually low to moderate.

You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety gloves, hearing protection, a respirator or dust mask, protective footwear and protective clothing or uniforms. Work may be performed in cold and/or hot temperatures and the environment can be dusty. Physical requirements further include the ability to engage in productive and collaborative communication with co-workers and work may need to be performed during non-standard hours, including nights and weekends.

At times, the ability to work overtime also may be required. The ability to perform these requirements is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
