ECS is seeking a Mid-level Security Engineer to work in our Washington DC office.

Job Description:
ECS has an exciting opportunity with the US Mint to provide O&M and modernization support for their IT Operations Support division
Duties include:
  • Developing, recommending, and implementing overall security policy
  • Implementing, reviewing and revising controls
  • Assessing and classifying information assets
  • Communicating and enforcing compliance
  • Monitoring and manage security breaches
  • Completing audits and penetration tests
  • Reviewing current Security documentation to include the System Security Plan, Network and Data Center Assessments and Risk and Mitigation reports.
  • Working with the Mint to implement NIST security controls, protect PII, and provide risk mitigation plans where needed.
  • Using current Mint tools such FireEye Web MPS, Nessus, Splunk, and Symantec Endpoint Protection to assist in reviewing network, Server, and endpoint policy compliance.

Required Skills:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Must have a BS Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or Equivalent Experience
  • 4-6 years of experience in Security Engineering to provide the support described in the General Description.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills a must

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with FireEye Web MPS, Nessus, Splunk, and Symantec Endpoint Protection
  • Cisco SAFE as the security reference architectures that uses two core concepts: Places in the Network (PIN) and Secure Domains
