Job Description:

PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Assistant Director of Sales will manage a defined national sales territory as well as recruit, direct, manage, train and counsel the group sales staff.

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: Strong organization and communication skills, mature, responsible, self-motivated and multi task oriented. Previous travel, hospitality and or ski industry sales experience required. Experience in sales leadership, revenue management, Delphi.Fdc, Maestro and Office 365 preferred. Must be available for a varied work schedule including travel and additional hours and days as work load dictates.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create and execute Group Sales BU strategies and Market Segment Plan for assigned territory as well as the entire Group Sales Team.
Actively manage the defined sales territory; prospecting, negotiating, contracting, coordinating overseeing and billing groups booking selling lodging, resort services and other products utilizing phone, mail, e-mail, in person, trade shows, open houses, familiarization tours, presentations and other sales methods.
Obtain or exceed predetermined annual lodging commission, lodging revenue and resort services goals as outlined in the bonus methodology document.
Work with DOS and Resort Revenue Manager to analyze and estimate total value of each piece of business and negotiate best situation for achieving optimum revenue while ensuring excellent customer service.
Ensure accuracy for forecasting of revenues with most updated information.
Recruit, direct, manage, train and counsel group sales staff.
Professionally represent the resort in community and industry organizations and events.
Participate as a team player with fellow managers.
Provide constructive feedback to all departments, sales team and resort associates.
Be a leader and role model to all sales staff.
Additional duties as necessary and assigned.
Assuming duties of Director of Sales in their absence such as approvals, business reviews, contract negotiation, leading meetings etc.
Must be available for sales and business-related travel.
