What you will do
 

As the Program Manager, you will drive and support best-of-class corporate real estate portfolio management for Johnson Controls fostering strategic relationships at the regional Business Unit executive level.  As an extension of and in collaboration with the business, this highly consultative individual will identify opportunities to support Johnson Controls Corporate and Business Unit objectives and initiatives through a focus on portfolio performance, protection of real property asset value and the general alignment of third party providers with JCI and BU strategies and strategic service providers. 


 

In this role you will need to exceed business partner expectations and establish the credibility necessary to facilitate consultative, strategic discussions with the management team.  You will be leveraging and integrating resources and technical expertise within JCI Enterprise Property Management and Security, and will deliver best-of-class, quality corporate real estate and workplace solutions to the business.


 
 
 
How you will do it
 


  1. Strategic Management:  This person will provide support to programs that drive excellence. Thus, this person needs to create strategies to achieve long-term goals across the business and able to meet strategic objectives through flawless execution and through leadership.

  2. Needs Assessment and Portfolio Advisory:  Will partner with the regionally Enterprise Property Group Directors and collaborate with executive Business Unit Leaders  provides oversight and management for real estate, facilities management and projects to optimize cost, standardize best practices and world class processes; and ultimately increase the value we create for our shareholder, Business Units and customers.  Help manage the regional relationship, governance and strategic development with strategic service providers to implement customer business requirements and oversee the performance of these services.

  3. Leadership and Coaching:  Essential to the position will be this person's ability to lead and inspire a multi-national team of experts, integrating subject matter expertise from a number of different resources to drive performance and achieve results.

  4. Operational Execution:  This person will synthesize and distill data from a number of disparate sources into clear, executable action plans to be carried out by the team.  This includes identification and development of key performance objectives and metrics to benchmark Johnson Controls success. Leverage JCI and third party offerings to optimize cost and standards.

 

What we look for
 
Required
 


  • Minimum Experience 7+ years’ experience in real estate, facility management, security and projects. Including commercial site selection, leasing, capital projects, financial management and management of day to day facility operational experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Real Estate Management or a related field or MBA

  • Financial experience with respect to budgeting capx and expense. 

  • Strong planning, management organizational experience.

  • Experience in overseeing real estate projects, planning, designing construction projects, and facilities management services.
