John Zink Company is seeking a sales engineer for selling technical solutions applied to combustion equipment. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, creative problem-solving skills, and an entrepreneurial focus to bring value to customers.
Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Developing a thorough understanding of customer’s combustion processes and applying technical solutions to improve operations
Participating in frequent in-person sales meetings and building relationships with key decision makers
Acting as the customer’s advocate internally to ensure the customer obtains the best value from offerings
Understanding of the marketplace and developing winning strategies
Designing, estimating, and preparing proposals for technical solutions and facilitating customer communication
Influencing customer buy decisions via strong technical presentations, tailored engineering solutions, and JZHC-advantaged features
Aiding in the negotiation of new contracts
This role is not open to Visa sponsorship
What You Will Need:
B.S. in Engineering or equivalent work experience
2+ years’ experience in direct selling position with customers in refining, petrochemical or oil/gas industries
What Will Put You Ahead?
Combustion experience preferably experience related to heating applications in refining, petrochemical or steel industries
Experience with complex technical solutions with added direct service and/or software as a service.
3+ years of Applications Engineering, Sales Engineering, and/or Business Development experience
Proven experience establishing and maintaining customer accounts
Demonstrate excellent communications skills- writing, presentations, interpersonal and negotiation
