Designs, develops, modifies, tests and evaluates various HW / SW designs that support the system requirements of varying levels for technical and business application projects. Completes analysis of business requirements, as it relates to technical design, and ensure traceability of the design to the business requirements. Assesses testing requirements and prepares testing strategies, as well as preparing implementation and transition plans. Experienced level position requires developing career in field and gaining knowledge of industry practices. Requires moderate level of experience and proficiency in field.


  • Meets with customer and business areas to identify requirements and translate business needs into a software design for development of new or modified automated systems.

  • Creates system designs and implementations to satisfy customer needs. Performs testing and implementation validation to demonstrate design completion.

  • Performs resolution of complex hardware and software problems affecting systems. Initiates problem avoidance actions.

  • Follows and ensures adherence to technical and security standards for programming and design techniques. Trains technical staff on use of software /hardware tools in accordance with required standards and procedures. Contributes to development and revision of standards and procedures.

  • May indirectly lead moderately complex projects, and participate on technical/complex projects.

  • Utilizes available tools for automation of manual processes.
