Job Description: Description: Supervises assigned areas of departmental operations including service, food procurement, production and sanitation related to patient feeding; provides supervision of food service staff including training, orientation, performance evaluation, coaching, counseling, progressive discipline, scheduling and time card processing. Participates in departmental Continuous Quality Improvement activities.
CBORD and iPad super user, ability to maneuver through systems, educates staff on usage, troubleshoots and solves any system errors.
Effectively utilizes AIDET when communicating with patients, members, and staff.
Visits with patients daily to ensure that they are receiving World Class Service and Food.
Completes time studies and develops any corrective actions needed to ensure that meals are getting to the patients within the 45 minutes.
Conducts Test tray evaluations daily.
Sanitation checks of all the floor pantries and fills out appropriate logs. Takes any corrective action needed.
Communications with ALL the nurse managers to gather any issues with FNS. Takes corrective action as indicated and reports them to the DA.
Pre-service meetings with staff before each shift to review what went right yesterday and what we need to do better.
Develop in-service trainings and log such in personnel files.
Monitor food waste from the trays and room service pods.
Participate in new menu development and holiday meals.
Administer Department P&P and see that the standards of the Department are ALWAYS achieved.
Basic Qualifications: Experience
Three (3) years of experience in food and nutritional services.
Two (2) years of recent lead/supervisory experience. Education
AA degree In Food Services Management or two (2) years directly related education field; or two (2) years directly related field work experience.
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED). License, Certification, Registration
Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel.
Must take and pass Microsoft Word/Excel test.
