POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Dredger Operator orOperator III will perform multiple plant duties safely and efficiently while maintaining a safety-first attitude. This position requires management resources to adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures and comply with all federal and state regulations, including OSHA, TCEQ, etc.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
It is operated and maintained dredging equipment to extract aggregates from water bodies safely and efficiently.
Monitor equipment performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize productivity.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment.
Conduct routine safety checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or issues promptly.
Perform routine maintenance on dredging equipment to ensure longevity and optimal functionality.
Report and address any mechanical issues promptly, coordinating with the maintenance team as needed.
Navigate and position the dredge equipment accurately to maximize extraction efficiency.
Collaborate with surveyors and other team members to achieve precise dredging results.

Ensure the proper handling and transportation of extracted materials from the dredge to designated storage areas.
Collaborate with loading and transport teams to facilitate the smooth transfer of materials.
Maintain effective communication with team members, supervisors, and other relevant personnel.
Report daily progress, challenges, and accomplishments to the management team.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Prior 5 years of experience safely operating heavy mobile equipment or the aggregates industry is preferred. General maintenance abilities are required. Proficient knowledge of MSHA/OSHA safety requirements.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
This position will be considered for night shift roles if they become available. Evenings and night shifts may be expected.
Ability to interpret and follow navigational charts and coordinates.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and address equipment issues.
