US Brick has a current vacancy to join our diverse and dynamic company as a Kiln Fireman.
Primary Responsibilities:

Attendance is a must. Must work scheduled required hours including scheduled holidays.
Responsible for organizing and completing daily Kiln Car handling according to verbal or written instructions.
Work flexible hours, on call 24/7 (Must answer the phone no matter the time).
Must have good mechanical and basic knowledge of programmable equipment.
Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
Must have reliable transportation.
possess good housekeeping skills.
All other duties as needed.

The Kiln Fireman is responsible for performing troubleshooting/ charging from the dryer into the kiln. As part of this process, the kiln fireman must keep all charge information logged on the kiln charge sheets, and he/she must verify and mark appropriate ticket for each car accordingly. This person would also be responsible for loading and unloading the kiln cars to and from the dryers.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to a flexible schedule in order to reduce/eliminate Kiln downtime.
