US Brick has a current vacancy to join our diverse and dynamic company as a Production Supervisor. This role will report directly to the Assistant Plant Manager
What you will be doing:
Supervise Hourly Workforce: Provide effective supervision to the hourly workforce, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, cost, and productivity goals.
Team Development: Coach, mentor, and develop team members to meet current and future business requirements, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Resource Allocation: Plan and manage the day-to-day allocation of resources, including equipment, personnel, materials, and systems, to achieve performance targets efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively.
Daily Operations Execution: Execute the daily work schedule, overseeing production activities to ensure smooth operations.
Change Leadership: Champion and lead change initiatives, driving continuous improvement in processes and practices.
Performance Analysis: Review overall line effectiveness, recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
Regulatory Compliance: Understand and adhere to internal and external regulations, procedures, and policies, ensuring compliance within the department.
Quality and Safety Standards: Maintain high standards of product quality, housekeeping, and safety, operating within effective standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Department Oversight: Oversee department-specific operations, promoting and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Employee Development: Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to ensure effective job performance, fostering employee engagement and continuous improvement.
Leadership for Production Personnel: Provide leadership for assigned production personnel, guiding them towards achieving specific goals and objectives through continuous process improvement.
Performance Evaluation: Evaluate subordinate performance, communicate with employees, and provide information for work performance improvement.
Work Environment: Create and maintain a safe and positive work environment, proactively participating in safety initiatives.
Communication and Meetings: Respond to employee concerns promptly, attend production and shift review meetings, and ensure accurate completion of daily manufacturing documents.
Training and Development: Ensure employee engagement, training, and development to maximize safety, quality, and productivity while meeting or exceeding all quality standards, specifications, and policies.
Continuous Improvement: Actively engage in plant Continuous Improvement efforts, identifying and implementing improvement opportunities.
Team Collaboration: Contribute to team efforts by performing assigned duties, maintaining cooperative relationships with coworkers and other leaders, and actively participating in problem-solving methods.
Compliance Adherence: Follow all safety, quality, production, environmental policies, and procedures to uphold organizational standards.
